Privacy Policy — SL Google Search Location & Language Changer

SL Google Search Location & Language Changer handles a limited amount of data locally on the user's device to provide its single purpose. No user data is transmitted to SEO Logbook, the developer, or any third party.

Effective date: September 11, 2026

Data handled

  • Web-browsing information: The extension processes the URL of the current Google Search results page, including its search parameters, only to preserve the current query and apply the selected language and country parameters. The search URL and query are not retained by the extension.
  • Extension preferences: The user-selected target country or region, interface language, optional personalization setting, and panel open or closed state are stored locally. The selected target country is a search setting; the extension does not determine or collect the user's physical location, IP address, or GPS location.

How the data is used

The data is used only to update the current Google Search URL and restore the user's extension preferences. It is not used for analytics, advertising, profiling, eligibility decisions, or any unrelated purpose.

Storage and retention

Preferences are stored with chrome.storage.local on the user's device. They remain until the user selects Reset, clears the extension's storage, or uninstalls the extension. The current Google Search URL is processed temporarily and is not stored by the extension.

Sharing and transfers

The extension does not sell, share, or transfer user data. It does not send data to SEO Logbook, the developer, external APIs, analytics providers, advertising services, or other third parties.

Security and external resources

The extension makes no external network requests and uses no remote code. All executable code and resources are included in the extension package.

Limited Use

The extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the extension's disclosed, user-facing functionality.
